Stigma Saturday (A few days early)

Hey y’all! I am posting my ~Stigma Saturday~ post a few days early because I will be on Spring Break from University starting Friday (Woo-hoo! Mental health vacation)!

Today, I am sharing a video that I found to be personally inspiring about combating stigmas surrounding mental illnesses.

You are so much more than a diagnosis, you are a person. Working together, we can #StopTheStigma!

-A little disclaimer: I know and I want all of y’all to know that not just white women have mental illnesses. Mental illnesses do not discriminate, anyone can experience mental illnesses. It just so happens that white women tend to be portrayed more in the news and media.

You are valid, regardless of who you are or what you look like, and never forget that.

Until Thursday (This week is a bit weird, I promise I will be back to my Thursday/Saturday schedule soon!) my warriors—

Thank you! It is good to stay positive, even when things may look difficult. Attitude is everything, and it can make or break how your day goes. And thank you, I found the video to be very empowering, and quite frankly, it made me cry. I will definitely consider posting more videos along with my blogs! Thank you so much for the feedback! 🙂
