Sugar as explained by John Oliver

This satirical news clip by John Oliver and Last Week Tonight employs a light-hearted and comedic approach to expose the amount of sugar that is hidden in daily food products we consume everyday. Oliver mentions the suspicious ties between physicians making claims favorable to sugar and the industry itself. He also pokes fun at the president of Ocean Spray describing cranberries as unpalatable (and thus all the added sugar in the juice). At the end, he makes a call to the food industry to display the sugar content of their products in terms of Circus Peanuts, those styrofoam feeling orange candies with no flavor. Not only is this hilarious, but it puts sugar content into terms Americans can actually understand. Oliver succeeds at making informative and entertaining content every week, and we love it!
